Here at the Heron Gallery we have lots of unique pieces of jewellery. This week we are featuring the stunning sculptured necklaces & earrings by Nancy Pickard which she makes by enamelling onto handcut pieces of sterling silver.
Comfy Cushions Inspired by Nature
If you love animals we have a wonderful range of cushions that are ideal for conservatories, outdoor garden chairs (dry weather only), indoor sofa's & bedrooms. Kids love the smaller cushions with baby hares, ducklings, piggies & wrens & these make a great new baby gift too. We have them on display in our shops (Schull & Kinsale) & also at the gallery in Ahakista. They come in large square 50cm x 50cm, rectangle 40cm x 60cm & small square 30cm x 30cm. Made from 100% cotton outer cover with a 100% polyester insert.

Fishy Friends
In keeping with Annabel's own fishy themed raku ceramics, we now have some beautiful pieces from 'The Bridge Pottery' who are based in Burnchurch, Co. Kilkenny. These are great for gift ideas or for giving a unique touch to your own home.

May Bank Holiday Fun
As we start the May Bank Holiday celebrations, I thought I would show a few of the fun raku ceramic hangings that Annabel creates & are for sale in our Schull shop. If you are down and around West Cork this weekend or wherever you are enjoying a good walk near the sea or woodlands, see how many of these beauties you can find or see. We are open in Schull over this May Bank Holiday weekend.
Art from the Beach
The sun is out & it's a wonderful day for a walk out in some of the lovely towns in West Cork or a stroll on the beach....or maybe both. Here at the Heron Gallery, Annabel is an avid beachcomber & designs some beautiful driftwood items which we sell at our shops in Schull & Kinsale. Below are some examples.
Annabel is also designing some works of art made of debris washed up on our local beaches for an upcoming exhibition to highlight the damage caused to marine life. Any usable pieces that can be upcycled such as plastic, rope or twine, black, white or coloured would be gratefully received at the Heron Gallery, Ahakista.
